Gong has named its new President and COO, Tableau veteran Kelly Breslin Wright. She joins the revenue intelligence startup’s day-to-day operations after serving on Gong’s Board for the past five months.

Effective immediately, Wright will begin leading Gong’s operations and use her go-to market thought leadership and public company experience to help scale the organization through its next stage of growth.

“We were excited when Kelly joined our board of directors five months ago,” CEO Amit Bendov said in a press release. “Now, we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Kelly onto our executive leadership team and leverage her wealth of experience to help scale and support our accelerated growth.”

Wright was the first sales hire at Tableau Software when she joined in 2005 and eventually worked her way up to serve as its EVP of Sales before exiting the company in 2016, prior to its acquisition by Salesforce in 2019. While at Tableau, she managed over half of Tableau's global team of more than 3300 employees and helped lead the startup achieve $850 million in revenue.

More recently, Wright has served on the boards of Amperity, Fastly, and Lucid and advised companies including Dropbox and Asana.

Wright will be a central executive as Gong looks to utilize the $250 million it raised in a Series E funding round last month to continue its growth and European expansion efforts.
