Heineken, the world’s second-largest brewer, announced Stacey Tank will serve as the company’s Chief Corporate Affairs and Transformation Officer. Tank will begin her new role on June 1 and report to Dolf van den Brink, who will become the company’s CEO on the same day.

Dolf van den Brink, who currently serves as Heineken’s President of the Asia Pacific region, was named as the successor to current CEO Jean-François van Boxmeer in February 2020.

In her role, Tank will oversee the company’s Public Affairs, Sustainable Development, and Global Communications operations. She will also help orchestrate key changes and transformation initiatives to the company’s strategic agenda.

Tank returns to Heineken after a five-year stint at Home Depot, where she ran Home Depot Installation Services and Home Depot Measurement Services. Tank worked for Heineken from 2012 to 2015 as SVP of Heineken USA. She also held multiple finance, audit, marketing, and communications roles at General Electric between 2002 and 2012.

In a press release, Dolf van den Brink stated, “Her business acumen and business success, knowledge of Heineken, and outstanding corporate affairs and senior leadership experience will be a valuable addition to our Executive Team.”

Heineken suffered a drop in beer sales in the first quarter of 2020 due to the coronavirus and has forecasted even lower sales in the second quarter, leading the company to its scrap its 2020 financial guidance. Despite the financial uncertainty, the brewer has pledged that it won’t conduct structural layoffs this year as a result of the pandemic.
