Jennifer Roberts is the new chief executive of consumer banking at JP Morgan Chase. She will report to Co-President Gordon Smith.
Roberts joined the bank in 1996 when she was an MBA student at the University of Northern Texas. During her time with JPMorgan, she has held multiple senior leadership positions, including marketing senior director and president of the health and wellness card business. Most recently, she served as JPMorgan Chase’s CEO of business banking.
In her new role as consumer banking CEO, Roberts will lead 40,000 employees and manage $600 billion in deposits over 4900 U.S. Chase branches.
She will be succeeding Thasunda Brown Duckett, who has left JPMorgan to join the retirement provider and financial services company TIAA.
