Real estate technology startup Livly has added David Shaw to its growing team as Director of Operations.
Shaw is an experienced operations executive, who brings experience from another real estate tech startup, Alfred, also known as Hello Alfred. His new role with Livly gives him the responsibility of supporting the company’s expansion as well as the challenge of growing partnerships to fulfill its service offerings.
Livly was founded in 2017 and burst onto the scene in 2019 with $10 million in seed funding led by Pritzker Group Venture Capital, Navitas Capital, and JLL Spark. The company has built a unified enterprise-grade resident experience platform that allows multifamily property owners to more streamline processes and communication with tenants through a mobile app and online community hub.
Prior to joining Livly, Shaw was the Head of Customer Experience at computer accessories brand Xebec. Before that he was the Regional Director for Growth, Launch, & Operations at Alfred and oversaw the company’s customer success and support, resident services, and internal business operations. Shaw got his operations start at Starbucks where he worked his way up from Barista to District Manager during his 10-year career with the company.
In a statement, Livly Co-Founder and Co-CEO Brian Duggan was quick to highlight Shaw’s experience at Alfred, where he helped the company scale from 3 to 21 cities.
"David has a proven track record of scaling operations in the multifamily industry,” Duggan commented. “We're truly thrilled to have him on board.”
Livly has grown quickly in the last couple of years, fueled by its seed money and anounther $8 million in raised in April 2020. Since then the company has built out its presence in 10 cities an crafted and expert team including recent sales additions with backgrounds in multifamily industry professional organizations.
