Nike announced senior leadership changes today after the departure of Ann Hebert, who resigned from the company after a reselling scandal. Sarah Mensah is now the VP/GM of North America. Amy Montagne succeeds her as VP/GM of Asia Pacific and Latin America (APLA). Both women report directly to Heidi O’Neill, President of Consumer and Marketplace, effective today.

Mensah has been with Nike for over seven years, in her time at the company she has served as VP/GM of Jordan Brand, North America and VP/GM of Sportswear ALPA. Prior to joining Nike, Mensah had a two-decade-long career with NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers, where she served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer.

Montagne started her career with Nike in 2005, holding various positions including VP/GM Nike Women's, VP/GM Global Categories and most recently, VP/GM Global Men’s. Previously, she worked at GAP, where she made her way from an Analyst to Senior Director in nine years.

“Sarah and Amy are two dynamic leaders, bringing deep experience and expertise to these important roles,” said O’Neill in a press release.

Additionally, Aaron Cain, a Nike veteran who has been with the company for 17 years, is named VP/GM Men’s. He reports to Michael Spillane, President of Consumer Creation, effective immediately.

Cain joined Nike in 2004, holding the position of Director of Nike Global Apparel Strategy. More recently, he was the GVP/GM of Nike Sportswear. Prior to joining Nike, Cain worked as a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group.

“Aaron’s deep experience in product, merchandising, driving strong consumer connections and delivering exceptional business results across Nike will be well served in this role,” said Spillane in a press release. “I look forward to seeing Aaron’s expertise, passion for sports and team leadership be further showcased.”
