OpenReel Hires Jeffery Kuo as its Senior Corporate Counsel

Remote video creation platform, OpenReel has hired Jeffery Kuo as its top lawyer. Kuo will be leading all legal affairs and risk management activities at the startup that has recently raised $19 million in its Series A funding.

Remote video creation platform, OpenReel has hired Jeffery Kuo as its top lawyer. Kuo will be leading all legal affairs and risk management activities at the startup that has recently raised $19 million in its Series A funding.

The graduate from Chicago-Kent College of Law at Illinois Institute of Technology has extensive legal experience in B2B Saas enterprise. He was previously an attorney at the Chicago office of Taft Stettinius & Hollister and has also served as Legal Associate Counsel at Trustwave.

“Jeff Kuo’s seasoned experience and deep legal knowledge in enterprise software makes him a natural fit for our expanding operations team,” Lee Firestone, CEO and co-founder of OpenReel said in a press release. “As we grow and continue to strengthen our global foothold, Jeff is a welcome addition and will be instrumental in continuing to better serve our customers and more expediently transform remote video creation for today’s hybrid workforce.”

OpenReel’s technology is designed to help its clients seamlessly create high-quality video content on mobile and web devices. The company has raised a total of $23.9M in funding so far, and over the past year has seen an annual revenue increase of 12x as its clientele grows to include multinational companies such as Dell, HubSpot, and ViacomCBS.
