Every week we highlight a company leading the charge in transparency and making waves in their industry. This week we are featuring Bitfocus.
Bitfocus handles all the technology so Human Services organizations can focus on serving their communities. Founded in 2003 by Robert Herdzik, the software company started as a Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) for the state of Nevada. Tired of being a systems administrator, Bitfocus built its software solution Clarity Human Services and took the nation’s largest Continuums of Care (CoC) by storm. With a team of policy experts, social services professionals, and data/tech engineers, Bitfocus has over 75 dedicated employees pulling up their sleeves to bridge data and policy.
Clarity Human Services provides an end-to-end platform that logs the start of outreach to the end of a project. It features data analytics, collaboration tools, compliance with HUD Data Standards, and beyond. With over 9,500 projects completed, Clarity Human Services has provided housing to almost 700,000 people and impacted over 3.5 million lives. Organizations such as the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, the San Diego Regional Task Force on the Homeless, King County, and Everyone Home trust Bitfocus and rely on Clarity Human Services as a first response tool to tackle homelessness.
