Utah-based business communication and payments platform Podium has revealed that former Shopify revenue leader Loren Padelford has joined as its Chief Operations Officer.
Utah-based business communication and payments platform Podium has revealed that former Shopify revenue leader Loren Padelford has joined as its Chief Operations Officer.
The newly-created role places Padelford in charge of Podium’s go-to-market strategy and operations as the company is on pace to process $1 billion dollars in payment transactions for local businesses this year.
He will also work to build out and scale the company’s marketing, sales, business development, customer success, and international efforts.
Padelford joins from Shopify, where he most recently served as VP and GM of Revenue for the company while it generated $4 billion in annual revenue. He also led the creation of Shopify Plus, the enterprise platform used by major brands like Allbirds and Fashion Nova.
Prior to his almost 7 year tenure at Shopify, Padelford was the CRO at Skura, a tech solution provider for pharmaceutical salespeople, which was acquired by Indegene.
In a Medium post announcing his new role, Padelford stated, "I could not be more excited to help local businesses win as the COO of Podium. There are so many problems to solve for our customers and so much potential."
