Poshmark announced today the creation of its first-ever chief people officer. William Ingham, who most recently worked as Chief HR Officer at Visa Europe, has stepped into the role.
In his new position, Ingham will lead all aspects of the global human resources function, which includes recruiting and retaining talent, rewards and recognition, performance management, organizational development, compensation and benefits, and employee training and culture.
While working at Visa Europe in London, Ingham oversaw the people and talent strategy for employees in over 37 countries across Europe. Before that, Ingham worked as Head of International HR for Banana Republic, a Gap, Inc brand. He also currently acts as an HR Venture Advisor for SemperVirens, an early-stage VC fund based out of San Francisco.
The announcement comes a few days after Poshmark released its first earnings report since going public in December 2020. The secondhand e-commerce company reported a softer outlook in revenue increases in the first quarter, estimating an increase in revenue from $75.5M to $77.5M, compared to analysts’ predictions of $79M. CEO Manish Chandra chalked up the less-than-expected returns in revenue to covid-related restrictions still in place in some parts of the U.S slowing down demand.
