A week after losing its CEO and Head of Clinical Services, embattled digital behavioral health service Talkspace has revealed that its President and COO, Mark Hirschhorn, is no longer with the company.
Hirschhorn resigned his position at Talkspace, effective immediately, after an internal review related to remarks he made at a company offsite last week, per a company announcement. The company didn’t elaborate on the nature of his comments.
Hirschhorn has been with Talkspace since February 2020. Before that, he held the CFO role at ArisGlobal and the CFO and COO positions at Teladoc Health.
The abrupt departure comes less than a week after Talkspace’s co-founders, CEO Oren Frank and Head of Clinical Services Roni Frank, left their roles following disappointing financial results.
Talkspace’s executive team will assume Hirschhorn’s responsibilities moving forward as it looks to right the ship. In the last quarter, the company generated $26.4 million in net revenue, a 23% year‐over‐year increase but still below expectations, partly due to fewer new user acquisitions in the direct‐to‐consumer business.
Talkspace has already retained executive search firm Korn Ferry to help recruit its next CEO, making it likely that the company will use the firm to find a new COO as well.
