Executive Moves

Disney-owned ABC News has made history by appointing Kimberly Godwin as the broadcast news network’s President, making her the first Black woman to lead a major broadcast news division. Godwin joins ABC from CBS News, where was most recently the EVP of News. Source | Full Story

ViacomCBS has restructured its news organization under two new leaders. The network will combine the journalistic and business resources of CBS News and the CBS Television Stations under one umbrella with Neeraj Khemlani and Wendy McMahon at the helm as Presidents and Co-Heads of the new division. BBC announced that Storm Fagan would be joining the British media company as Chief Product Officer in September 2021 and Peter O’Kane, will become Chief Technology Officer, after serving in the role on an interim basis. Source | Full Story

Tencent Music Entertainment Group announced the appointment of Cussion Kar Shun Pang as TME's Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. The company also revealed Zhu "Ross" Liang has been appointed as the Company's new CEO and a member of the Board. Prior to this appointment, Ross served as Vice President of Tencent Holdings Limited. Netflix sent a memo to staff revealing that its Chief Talent Officer, Jessica Neal, is exiting the company. The company didn’t address questions about her departure or the identity of her successor. Source

Lionsgate has agreed to elevate Craig Piligian to become President of its nonfiction television business while continuing as CEO of Pilgrim Media Group. Under the new agreement, Piligian has also been elevated to Chair of Pilgrim Media Group. Source

Comcast's advertising divison announced that it has promoted Tony Sanchez to VP of Customer Experience. Source

Universal has expanded its Managing Director for France Xavier Albert’s purview to include Italy. He will take over the MD Italy post in July. Source

MGM Studios has promoted Laura Sher to EVP of Scripted Television Operation. Sher will continue to serve as the Co-General Manager of Epix. Source

Disney has named Sharon Klein to the expanded role of EVP of Casting for Walt Disney Television. Klein was most recently EVP of Casting for Disney Television Studios and FX Entertainment. Source

Disney has promoted Anastasia Ali to VP of Marketing at Disney Studios Content and elevated Jan Coleman to VP of Global Marketing Partnerships, Promotions & Multicultural. Source

Condé Nast has hired Sarah Amos as VP of Development & Production with a focus on non-fiction TV and documentaries. She was previously the VP of Development and Production for Marvel Entertainment’s NewMedia division. Source

Disney-owned Hulu has promoted Reagan Feeney to SVP of Live TV Content Programming and Partnerships and BrianHenderson to SVP of SVOD Content Programming and Partnerships. Source

Latin World Entertainment has hired Kate Presutti as EVP of Development. Most recently she served as the content lead for alternative series at Quibi. Source

QC Entertainment has selected Ali Bahrynian to be its new Director of Development and Production. She previously served as an agent at WME in the Motion Picture Literary Department. Source

Legendary has tapped Jennifer Breslow as EVP of Television and Digital Media. Breslow most recently worked at Netflix as an original series executive. Source

TrillerNet has revealed Amplify.ai co-founder and CEO Mahi de Silva will be the new CEO of TrillerNet. De Silva is already the Non-Executive Board Chairman of TrillerNet and replaces Mike Lu, who will transition into the role as TrillerNet’s President. Source
