Apple has hired and fired Antonio Garcia Martinez, who would’ve been a member of its App Store and Apple News Advertising team after receiving swift backlash from employees who learned about sexist views expressed in a book he had authored. Source | Full Story

Waymo has lost its CFO, Ger Dwyer, and its Chief Automotive & Corporate Development Officer, Adam Frost. The duo’s departure was first shared with employees earlier last week and confirmed to TechCrunch. Source | Full Story

Confluent, has hired ex Salesforce executive Larry Shurtz as Chief Revenue Officer in preparation for its IPO. Shurtz joined Salesforce as an Area VP in 2011 and has held SVP and EVP positions at the company. Source | Full Story

Amazon has hired Jeff Blackburn, who had left the company in February, to serve as the SVP of its new Global Media & Entertainment division. He joins from Bessemer Venture Partners, where he had worked for just 5 weeks. Source | Full Story

VMware appointed Rangarajan Raghuram as CEO and a member of the Board of Directors, effective June 1, 2021. Raghuram is currently VMware's EVP and COO for Products and Cloud Services. Source

Facebook has lost its first VP of VR, Hugo Barra. He initially joined the company from Xiaomi five years ago. Barra hasn't revealed his next move. Source

Twitter has hired Lara Mendonça as a Senior Manager of Product Design in its creation and conversations team. She starts on June 14 and previously led the design of Bumble’s dating app as it approached its IPO. Source

PicsArt announced that Craig Foster has joined the company as its first CFO. Foster was most recently the CFO of Inseego. He also spent time in executive roles at Bright Machines and Financial Engines. Source

Patreon hired Tiffany Stevenson as Chief People Officer. Stevenson was previously the Chief Talent & Inclusion Officer, Global Head of Communities at Box. Source

GreyOrange hired Anis Hadj-Taieb as VP of Global Sales. Hadj-Taieb previously served as VP of Global Sales for PRGX Global. Source

Algolia named Jason McClelland as CMO. McClelland was previously CMO of Domino Data Lab. Source

Vibes appointed Jennifer Leire as VP of Customer Strategy & Success. Leire was previously VP of Client Engagement at Analytic Partners. Source AppNeta promoted Michael Hustler to CTO and Tanya Blinova to VP of Engineering. Source

Conductor appointed Irene DeNigris as Chief People Officer, Alok Srivastava as CTO, Tom Martin as Chief Revenue Officer and Ron Kasner Vice Chairman of the Board. Source

MulticoreWare appointed Jayesh Patel as VP & GM of Autonomous Vehicles & Automotive Business Unit, Soumendra Mohanty as VP of Worldwide Sales & Corporate Marketing and Shashikanth Jayaraman as VP of Global Human Resources. Source

Accellix hired Terrance Gin as VP of Global Operations. Gin most recently worked as the Engineering Leader at Becton Dickinson and Thermo Fisher Scientific. Source

Reachdesk appointed Temy Mancusi-Ungaro as CEO. Mancusi-Ungaro was most recently the Chief Customer Officer at Electric AI. Source

Krista Software appointed Satendar Bhatia as Chief Revenue Officer. Bhatia was previously at Lookout, where he was the SVP & Global Head of Embedded Software Sales. Source

Bahwan CyberTek appointed Chetan Desai as COO for Global Operations. Desai was previously the VP of Digital Technology at Schlumberger. Source

H2o.ai hired Ro Dhanda as VP of Federal Business. Dhanda was previously RVP of Federal at Snowflake Computing. Source

TeleSense appointed Tim Neilan as Chief Revenue Officer and Betty Kayton as CFO. Source

Prescryptive Health hired Luyuan Fang as Chief AI and Data Officer. Fang previously served as Chief AI Officer and SVP at Change Healthcare. Source

NetBrain hired Scott Blahauvietz as Chief Revenue Officer and Shelley Hall as SVP, General Counsel. Blahauvietz was previously Area VP of Global Sales at ServiceNow and Hall was General Counsel at K2. Source
