Workplace Tech

Clari, a revenue operations platform, hired former Talend CFO Adam Meister as its CFO.

Unbabel, an AI-powered language operations platform for customer support, named Alex Cobb as its Chief Product Officer. He previously served as a technical leader at ​​Commercia, Kony and K2 Software.

Avochato, a provider of advanced messaging software for support, sales, and operations teams, promoted VP of Operations Katie Markov as its first COO.

Hootsuite, a social media management platform, revealed that Natalia Williams joined as its Chief Product Officer. She was previously the product chief at Mailchimp.

Fintech

PayPal announced that its CFO and EVP of Global Customer Operations, John Rainey, will leave and join Walmart as CFO in late May 2022. Gabrielle Rabinovitch, PayPal's SVP of Corporate Finance and Investor Relations, will serve as interim CFO.

MoneyLion, a digital financial platform, appointed Mark Torossian as Chief Accounting Officer. He most recently served as Chief Accounting Officer at Salt Blockchain.

Blockchain.com, a cryptocurrency trading platform, hired Marissa Brooks to lead Global Sports and Entertainment Partnerships. Brooks is the founder of 4WRD, a boutique collective focused on the intersection of sports and luxury.

Saphyre, a fintech startup that leverages AI technology to structure all pre-trade data while eliminating post-trade inefficiencies, hired Ray Shivers as the company’s new COO. He was formerly COO of Global Investment Operations at BlackRock and the Executive Vice President and COO of Lincoln Investment.

Paysafe, a specialized payments platform, named former FIS President Bruce Lowthers as CEO and Executive Director.

Cadre, a technology-driven real estate investment platform, appointed Skand Gupta as Head of Engineering. Gupta joins Cadre from Better.com, where he most recently served as Senior Engineering Leader.

Health Tech

Anju, a software solutions provider for the life sciences industry, hired former Aksys CEO Laurence (Larry) Birch as its CEO.

Insurtech

Newfront, a tech-enabled, full-service brokerage, named Kevin Thomas as Associate VP and P&C Producer. Kevin spent more than a decade at The Hartford, where he helped lead P&C underwriting.

EdTech

Ellucian, a higher education technology solutions provider, announced Martin Mrugal as its new COO. Mrugal joins Ellucian from Citrix where he was Chief Customer Innovation Officer.

E-Commerce

Zappos, an online shoe retailer, confirmed its interim CEO, Scott Schaefer, as its permanent CEO. Before Schaefer was named interim CEO in December 2021, he served as the company’s VP of Finance.

GoTab, a restaurant commerce platform, added Mike Dunn as CFO. Most recently, he supported growth initiatives at Cadmium.

Enjoy Technology, a platform reinventing “Commerce at Home,” revealed that CFO Fareed Khan has decided to depart the company. Cal Hoagland, an experienced financial executive, will join Enjoy as Interim CFO.

Imperfect Foods, an online grocer, hired Corey Farrell as COO, Kelly Nigh as Chief Merchandising Officer, and Hetu Patel as CFO. All three new hires are former Amazon executives.

Media Tech

Activision Blizzard, a video game publisher, has hired Kristen Hines as its Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer. Hines joins Activision Blizzard from Accenture, where she most recently led the Global Inclusion, Diversity and Equity practice.

Transportation Tech

WiTricity, a pioneer in wireless charging for electric vehicles, hired former Boeing and Ford Motor Company executive Joe Benz as its first General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer.

Logistics Tech

GreyOrange, a industrial robotics and fulfillment platform, appointed Ravish Sharma VP of Product Management. Sharma previously held product roles at Morgan Stanley and Adobe Systems.

ShipBob, a cloud-based logistics platform, named Pramod Jajoo as SVP of Technology and Country Head for India. Jajoo previously served as an SVP at Flipkart before becoming an angel investor.

PowerFleet, a provider of wireless IoT and M2M solutions to track high-price assets, appointed Jim Zeitunian as the company’s new CTO. Zeitunian joins PowerFleet from Coupa Software, where he served as VP of Engineering.

Cybersecurity

SentinelOne, an autonomous cybersecurity platform, promoted COO Nicholas Warner to President of Security and appointed Vats Srivatsan as COO. Most recently, Vats was President and COO at ColorTokens.

Skyflow, a data privacy vault for sensitive data, hired Robin Andruss, formerly Twilio’s Data Protection Officer and Director, Global Privacy Governance, as its Chief Privacy Officer.

Neustar Security Services, a cloud-oriented security services provider, named Michael Smith as its Field Chief Technology Officer. Smith previously worked as a private cybersecurity consultant and spent a decade at Akamai Technologies.

Open Systems, a cybersecurity services provider, appointed Alaska May as its Chief People Officer. May was previously the SVP of Human Resources for International Markets.

BeyondTrust, an intelligent identity and access security company, announced that Janine Seebeck was promoted from CFO and COO to CEO. Former CEO Matt Dircks has become the company’s Executive Board Chair.

IT

Sonata Software, a global IT digital services and solutions company, announced that Samir Dhir has taken over as its new CEO. He previously served as CEO of Global Markets and Industries at Virtusa.

TokenEx, a cloud tokenization provider, hired Doug Scott as its Chief Revenue Officer. He recently served as SVP and COO for SAP Services' Regulated Industries.

Vianai Systems, a human-centered AI platform and products company, hired Dr. Navin Budhiraja as CTO and Head of the Vian Platform. He was previously the VP and General Manager, Systems and Platform at Ansys.

NTT DATA, a digital business and IT services firm, promoted Christopher J. Merdon from Divisional President to Group President in charge of Public Sector for NTT DATA Services.

BigPanda, an AIOps Event Correlation and Automation company, added Rick Underwood as its Chief Revenue Officer. Underwood was previously the VP of Major Accounts Sales at Snowflake.

Phunware, an iOS & Android application development platform, hired Christopher Olive, a transactional and regulatory attorney, as its EVP, General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer.

Hanzo, a pioneer in preserving, collecting, reviewing, and exporting dynamic, complex collaboration and web-based data, revealed that CFO Paul Suh was promoted to President and Robert Hirst was appointed CTO.

Internet

Jobcase, a social media platform dedicated to empowering and advocating for workers, appointed Paw Andersen as its CTO. He was most recently the CTO at Metromile.

Nextbite, a leader in virtual restaurants, named Lara Hoyem as Chief Concept Officer. Prior to joining Nextbite, she served as VP and General Manager, Photo Books, Calendars and Print for Shutterfly.

Connectivity

Ericsson, a multinational telecommunication services and equipment firm, announced that its SVP and Head of Business Area Managed Services, Peter Laurin, will leave the company on August 15, 2022.

Inseego, a 5G and intelligent IoT device-to-cloud solutions provider, appointed Chuck Becher as SVP and General Manager of Carrier Solutions. Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Onward Mobility.

Proptech

Doma, a startup simplifying real estate transactions, revealed that its CFO, Noaman Ahmad, will step down on May 15, 2022. Doma said it will initiate an external search for a new CFO in the coming weeks.

Built, a construction and real estate finance platform, added FIS veteran Chris Copeland as SVP of Sales and Bridgewater Associates leader Mark Linnville as Head of Talent Acquisition.

Pacaso, a proptech unicorn, has hired Meta's VP of M&A Integration and Strategic Initiatives, Lara Cumberland, as its COO.

Aerospace

Rocket Lab, an end-to-end space company, hired Arjun Kampani as SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Kampani was formerly the SVP, General Counsel and Secretary at Aerojet Rocketdyne.

Semiconductor Manufacturers

Indie Semiconductor, an automotive semiconductor and software platform company, hired Chet Babla has joined the company as SVP of Strategic Marketing. He most recently served as VP of Arm’s Automotive Line of Business.

Micron Technology, a memory and storage solutions company, recruited Courtney Geduldig as Corporate VP for Public Affairs. Prior to Micron, Geduldig was Head of Government and Public Affairs at Chime Financial.
