Wells Fargo revealed that David Galloreese, the bank’s Head of Human Resources, will depart for an undisclosed role outside the company on April 23, 2021.

While the company’s leadership searches for Galloreese’s replacement, Head of Diverse Segments, Representation and Inclusion Kleber Santos will take on the top HR role on an interim basis.

Galloreese has been with Wells Fargo since 2018. He joined the company from Walmart, where he served as the retail giant’s SVP of Talent and Chief People Officer of Sam's Club. He has also spent time in top HR and People roles at Medallia and Caesars Entertainment.

Wells Fargo CEO Charles Scharf said Galloreese has made significant contributions to the financial institution’s ongoing transformation, stating, “In particular, he has led through a period of significant change for the company and the Human Resources organization. For me personally, David has been a trusted and collaborative partner since I joined the company, and I know I speak for many in saying we wish him all the best and thank him for his leadership and contributions.

Scharf added, “We are fortunate to have a strong leader like Kleber to step in while we conduct a comprehensive search for our next HR leader.”
