Wish Appoints Vivian Liu as CFO to Lead Finance and Merchant Growth

Mobile e-commerce platform Wish has added Vivian Liu as its new CFO. Liu takes over from interim Co-CFO’s Brett Just and Jennifer Oliver, who stepped into the role in July 2021 when then-CFO Rajat Bahri abruptly resigned from his post.

Liu joins from Shutterfly, where she served as CFO, and will report directly to Founder and CEO Peter Szulczewski.

When Liu steps through the doors at Wish on November 10 she will be in charge of the company’s merchant acquisition team and global financial operations. Among her direct reports will be Just and Oliver, who both will continue on in their previous roles as Chief Accounting Officer and Director of FP&A.

In the company’s announcement, Szulczewski called Liu a seasoned CFO and highlighted her experience scaling and transforming both privately and publicly held companies.

Prior to her time at Shutterfly, Liu was the CFO at printing and imaging solution company, Lexmark International. She also served the VP of Finance for Huawei’s Enterprise Business Group and held multiple senior finance positions throughout her eight year tenure at Cisco Systems.

Before entering the tech world, held finance positions at Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, and China Merchants Bank.

“Vivian will bring a valuable perspective as we execute on our strategy and provide additional insight on our investments in technology and innovation to fuel further growth, Szulczewski added. “We are delighted to welcome another high-caliber executive to our leadership team.”

Wish has experienced a growth spurt in the past year and onboarded a host of new leadership talent to help it scale its operations in the wake of its December 2020 IPO. Since its debut on the Nasdaq, Wish has hired both a new Chief Product Officer and Executive Chair.
