Senior Concept Artist at 10 Chambers

Kim Petersen has a significant and diverse work experience in the field of concept art, design, and motion graphics. Starting in 2001, Kim worked as a Designer with Nick Bell Design, gaining valuable experience in typographic animations and earning two D&AD awards. Kim then pursued freelance work as a motion designer from 2002 to 2007, honing their skills in this field. From 2007 to 2008, Kim worked as a Motion Designer with BaseMotion Barcelona. In 2009, Kim taught motion design and After Effects at Berghs School of Communication until 2015. During this time, Kim also worked as a freelance motion designer and a designer at Kanal 5. In 2011, Kim took on the role of a Designer at Ocean Observations. From 2013 to 2022, Kim worked as a Freelance Concept Artist/Matte Painter. In 2019, Kim joined Mojang Studios as a UI Artist, eventually becoming the UI Art Director and then the Lead Artist. Currently, Kim Petersen holds the position of Senior Concept Artist at 10 Chambers starting in 2022.

Kim Petersen attended the University of the Arts London from 1997 to 2000, where they completed a Ba Hons degree in Graphic Design. In 2013, Kim took part in several workshops at CG Workshops, focusing on Advanced Environmental Design, Introduction to Environmental Design, and Photorealistic Matte Painting. In 2014, Kim also attended CGMA for Environment Design.
