Nicola Sacchi

Nicola Sacchi has extensive work experience in the field of software development and technology. Nicola began their career in 1997 as a Worker at Thema. Nicola then worked as a Software Developer at Thema in 1999 and as a Freelance Web developer in 2002. In 2005, Nicola worked as a Student Researcher at Universita' di Modena.

Starting from 2006, Nicola embarked on a self-employed journey, working as a Freelance DevOps / System Administrator and Freelance Software Developer Engineer. During this time, they gained expertise in system administration, particularly with cloud systems like AWS and Google Cloud, as well as various Linux distributions.

In 2007, Nicola joined Facs srl as a Software Engineer and later worked as a Developer at Unione Farmacie Informatizzate from 2006 to 2017. In 2017, they joined Evensi as a Ruby on Rails Developer and then as a DevOps Consultant in 2018. Nicola handled the maintenance of a legacy application and utilized technologies such as Postgres, Docker, Redis, MongoDB, Sidekiq, and Linux.

Most recently, Nicola served as the Chief Technology Officer at 1000Farmacie from 2019 to 2022, where they demonstrated their expertise in Ruby On Rails and AWS technologies, including ECS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, ELB, and EFS. In April 2022, they transitioned to the role of Head Of Engineering at 1000Farmacie, continuing to contribute to the company's technology development.

Nicola Sacchi received their education in the field of computer engineering. Nicola completed a 2nd level degree in Computer Engineering from the Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia from 2000 to 2006. Prior to that, from 1995 to 1999, they attended Corni where they pursued studies in Information Technology.
