Paul Ryvkin

Paul Ryvkin is a Senior Staff Computational Biologist at 10x Genomics since November 2020, leading efforts on an innovative in situ RNA platform. Previously, Paul served as a Staff Data Scientist at Omniome Inc., where management of a software engineering team focused on image analysis and genomics software. Paul has a substantial background at 10X Genomics, contributing as a Staff Computational Biologist on notable single-cell RNA-sequencing products and developing statistical methods and software for high-throughput data analysis. Experience also includes roles at Guardant Health, Ariosa Diagnostics, the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine as a PhD candidate, and the University of Connecticut, where Paul acquired extensive skills in bioinformatics, statistical methods, and software development. Paul holds a PhD in Genomics and Computational Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and dual degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from the University of Connecticut.
