Xiaoyang Cai

Xiaoyang (Frank) Cai, Ph.D., is a Senior Scientist at 10x Genomics since September 2021, specializing in the development and optimization of novel processes for high-quality consumable products, including single-cell and Xenium in situ platforms. Prior experience includes roles as Scientist II at Sequlite Genomics and Research Scientist II at Tribioscience Inc., focusing on Next-Generation DNA sequencing (NGS) platforms. Xiaoyang also developed NGS platform and bioconjugation products, as well as novel hydrogel protocols. Academic background includes a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Tulane University, where contributions were made to an NSF-funded project and undergraduate organic lab teaching. Previous degrees include a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Organic Chemistry and Chemistry, respectively, from Nanjing Tech University.
