John Bentley II

John Bentley, II is a Software Architect with over 25 years of experience, spanning from software development to physical infrastructure and all layers in between. John is a second generation programmer, having learned coding skills from his father at the age of 10. Based on this early experience, he decided to pursue a career in software development.

John began his career developing Network Management products for IBM and Broadband Technologies. He then migrated to IT consulting, working with internal IT organizations in the Telecommunication, Utility, Manufacturing, and Agribusiness industries. He then accepted a leadership position in Sprint, defining Enterprise Architecture, leading software development in Engineering, Dispatch, and Finance Systems, and ultimately managing the performance of the $1.5B IT organization.

John migrated to small business, supporting Municipalities, Health Care, Legal, Manufacturing, Non-Profit, eCommerce, and Financial Institutions in the adoption and management of technology and development and integration of new systems. John also has worked in firms focused on Fintech and Market Research, also implementing Salesforce adoption and integration.

John has a BS in Computer Science from North Carolina State University and an MBA, Social Media Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University. John is also a graduate of the Founder’s Institute.

John is also known as the “Code Wookie”, recognizing the need for software professionals that can solve hard problems with navigating asteroid fields and being fired on by the Empire.
