Michal Zagulski

Senior Lighting & Technical Artist at 11 bit studios

Michal Zagulski has over 19 years of work experience in the field of illustration, design, and 3D art. Michal started their career as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer in 2003 and continued this work until 2011. In 2008, they worked at Twin Bottles as a Generalist and Art Director. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Concept Artist at Thing Trunk. Michal then worked at Crunching Koalas as a 2D/3D Artist from 2013 to 2014. At ATGames, they served as an Illustrator/Animator from 2014 to 2017. From 2017 to 2020, Michal worked at Ars Thanea as a VR/AR/UE4 Artist, where they focused on creating and implementing virtual and augmented reality experiences. During this time, they also conducted research on technical and artistic capabilities of Unreal Engine 4. In 2020, they joined Katana as a Real-time Lighting and Rendering Artist until 2021. From 2021 to 2022, they worked at The Digital Bunch as an Unreal Engine Senior 3D Artist, specializing in real-time rendering. Currently, Michal is a Senior 3D Generalist at Road Studio, and as of October 2022, they have also taken on the role of Senior Lighting and Technical Artist at 11 bit studios S.A. Throughout their career, Michal has demonstrated expertise in creating environments, setting up lighting and rendering, creating 3D animations, and providing supervision and expertise in emerging CGI technologies.

Michal Zagulski began their education in 2003 at Labirynt - Post-Secondary Study, where they studied illustration. Michal then attended Warsaw University of Technology in 2004 for a year to study architecture. From 2005 to 2008, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in New Media Arts and Graphic Design at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology.
