Martin Fischer

Martin Fischer has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Martin is currently the CTO at 1&1 Versatel, a position they started in August 2022. Prior to this, Fischer held various roles at Vodafone, including Head of Fixed Network Planning from September 2020 to July 2022 and from April 2018 to August 2020. Martin also served as the Head of Central Optimisation & Config Center and Team Leader for Central Expertise in Network Performance & Optimisation. Fischer began their career at Vodafone as a Management Trainee Technology in April 2011. Before entering the industry, they worked as a Research Assistant and PhD Student at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management from 2005 to 2011.

Martin Fischer earned a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen Elektrotechnik from Technische Universität Berlin from 1998 to 2005. Martin then pursued a Dr. rer. pol. degree in Betriebswirtschaftslehre from WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management from 2005 to 2011.
