Melissa Nord

Melissa Nord is a seasoned meteorologist with extensive experience in broadcast meteorology. Currently serving as a 4pm Meteorologist and Weekend Morning Meteorologist at 11Alive since August 2020, Melissa previously worked as a Freelance Broadcast Meteorologist at The Weather Channel and as a Freelance Weather Anchor for CNN in 2020. Prior to that, Melissa held various roles including Meteorologist and co-anchor at WUSA-TV, and Weekend Meteorologist at WLEX-TV, where coverage included significant weather events in Kentucky. Early career experiences include internships and research with NOAA and the Georgia Institute of Technology, culminating in a degree in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences with a focus on Meteorology from Georgia Tech.
