Garrick Douthwaite

Garrick Douthwaite is a seasoned professional in the fintech and insurtech sectors, currently serving as Venture Director at 11:FS since December 2023, focusing on developing digital propositions for financial institutions globally. Previously, Garrick was Partner at Sønr Global, leading consulting services to drive innovation in the insurance industry from June 2022 to June 2023. Garrick spent a significant tenure at EY from July 2012 to June 2022, where responsibilities included global connectivity in insurtech, business development for fintech, and performance improvement in financial services advisory. Additionally, Garrick served as an angel investor for multiple startups in late 2021. Educational qualifications include an Oxford FinTech Programme from Saïd Business School, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Accounting from the University of Cape Town.
