Alvin Ong

Alvin Ong is an experienced analyst currently working at 1337 Ventures since September 2022. Prior to this role, Alvin served as a Senior Executive at the Securities Commission Malaysia from September 2020 to January 2022, where responsibilities included conducting ad-hoc regulatory research on fintech and alternative finance topics, as well as assessing Initial Exchange Offering applicants. Alvin also completed an internship at CIMB in June 2017 within the Treasury Sales Department, gaining exposure to treasury operations and the regulations of Bank Negara Malaysia. Alvin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Boston University, earned between 2016 and 2020, and completed secondary education at Sri Kuala Lumpur from 2006 to 2014.
