Tony Barbosa

Tony Barbosa has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and academic sectors. Tony started their career at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals as a Combinatorial Chemist and later became a Medicinal Chemist. Tony then worked as a Senior Research Scientist at CGI Pharmaceuticals. Tony also founded Genesis Science and worked as a Founder/Educator. Tony was the Director at Adhaere Pharmaceuticals, where they successfully moved the lead compound up to clinical development and created backup series. Adhaere Pharmaceuticals was purchased by Gossamer Bio. Tony later joined Ave Maria University as an Associate Professor of Chemistry. Currently, they are serving as the Vice President of Research at Allosite Therapeutics.

Tony Barbosa earned a B.S. degree in Chemistry and Business from Providence College from 1991 to 1995. Tony then attended the University of Rochester from 1995 to 2001, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry.
