14th Street Y
Brooke Hassman is a dedicated educator with a robust background in special education and childhood education. Currently serving as a Special Education Teacher with the NYC Department of Education since July 2023, Brooke also contributes as a Summer Camp Teacher at the 14th Street Y and a Tutor with Littera Education. Previously, Brooke held the position of Head Teacher at Aaron School and has gained valuable experience as a Student Teacher at various institutions including The Children’s Workshop School and Star Academy NYC. Brooke's academic credentials include a Dual Master's Degree in Childhood Education and Special Education from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Early career experience includes roles such as Office Manager at 360 Builders Group, Inc. and Teaching Assistant at Center City Jewish Preschool, showcasing a versatile skill set in both education and administrative tasks.
