Heather McGee

Partner & COO at 17 Asset Management

Heather is the Chief Operating Officer at 17 Asset Management where she implements the corporate strategy and manages the day to day operations of the firm. Heather is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with our investors, partners, clients, and growing team. Heather's career began in politics where she worked for the state political party, the state legislature, managed political campaigns and fundraised for political candidates at the local, state, and federal levels. Upon moving to New York Heather began her career in finance, first at Ramius Alternative Solutions, a global alternatives asset management firm with $4 billion in AUM. Following Ramius, Heather worked as a Program Associate at the Pershing Square Foundation, where she supported grantees and PRI recipients across the $500 million portfolio. In her most recent role before joining 17AM, Heather was a Senior Associate at SOCAP Global, providing business development support across multiple initiatives. Heather is passionate about the transition of the capital markets towards responsible and impactful investing, and considers this work to be the most important grassroots campaign of her generation.

Heather holds a BS in Political Science from The University of Utah, and an MPA in Social Impact, Innovation and Investment from the NYU Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service.
