17th Judicial District Attorney's Office
Josh Rheins is a Deputy District Attorney at the 17th Judicial District Attorney's Office since October 2022, bringing previous experience as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Colorado Seventeenth Judicial District. Rheins gained valuable insights as a Legal Intern in the Appellate Litigation Clinic at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, achieving a successful oral argument before the Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals. Additional experience includes a Legal Externship with the United States Department of Justice and various internships, including at the Colorado State Supreme Court and in political settings, such as the U.S. House of Representatives. Rheins holds a Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder.

The 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is committed to seeking and pursuing justice on behalf of victims of crime through the fair and ethical prosecution of those who commit offenses in our community. With a focus on education, treatment, and a reduction in recidivism, the District Attorney’s Office will also work vigorously to reform the criminal justice system to better serve those who live and work in Adams and Broomfield Counties in Colorado.
