Lakshmi Gopinathan is an experienced researcher and project manager currently serving as a Research Assistant in the Agriculture & Resource Economics Department at UC Berkeley, focusing on data analysis related to agricultural mechanization in Nigeria. As the Director of the documentary "Life is Art," Lakshmi aims to showcase Nigeria's diverse visual arts community while addressing themes of cultural preservation and sustainability. Leadership roles in the Nigerian Student Association include Marketing Director, where Lakshmi contributed to organizing a record-breaking cultural event. Involvement with 180 Degrees Consulting includes roles such as President and Project Manager, where strategic initiatives for various non-profits were led. Lakshmi's earlier experiences include founding Hope For Sight Initiative, which successfully funded cataract surgeries, and internships at KPMG Nigeria, Perimeter, and other organizations. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Psychology from UC Berkeley, Lakshmi is dedicated to impactful community projects and research initiatives.
