Bobby Basham

Executive In Residence

Bobby Basham is a seasoned professional in the sports industry, currently serving as Special Assistant/Director of Baseball Innovation for the Chicago Cubs since March 2012, where responsibilities include exploring partnerships and products to enhance player performance. In addition to this role, Bobby is an Executive in Residence at 1871, an innovation hub in Chicago, and serves on advisory boards for Why of AI and GameSense Sports, focusing on leveraging technology and artificial intelligence in sports. As a co-founder of Union Baseball Systems, Bobby manages a growing elite baseball performance facility in San Diego. Previously, Bobby contributed to Stadia Ventures as a Lead Mentor and Judge, and held marketing leadership positions at BD. As a former Minor League Baseball player, with experience in the Cincinnati Reds and San Diego Padres organizations, Bobby brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the field. Bobby holds an MBA in Management and Strategy from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Richmond.
