Karina Fochtman

Karina Fochtman currently serves as the Head of Operations at 1871, a position held since November 2024. Prior to this role, Karina was the Head of Partnerships at IDR from April 2023 to November 2024, where the focus was on streamlining investor onboarding. A sabbatical was taken from January 2022 to March 2023. Karina's earlier experience includes serving as VP and Global Head of Customer Success at Allvue Systems from September 2020 to December 2021, and holding various roles in relationship management at Backstop Solutions Group from 2010 to August 2020. Additional leadership experience includes serving as Chapter President of the United Women in Business Foundation from January 2016 to March 2018, and earlier roles as a Lab Technician at VCA and Manager of Food Services at the University of Michigan Law School. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan, complemented by relevant research experience at Michigan Medicine.
