Timi Majek has extensive work experience in the field of visual merchandising, design, and branding. Currently, Timi holds the position of Senior Director of Visual Merchandising at 1888 Mills since July 2022. Prior to this, Timi worked as the Director of Visual Merchandising at the same company from September 2017 to June 2022. Before joining 1888 Mills, Timi worked as a Principal at Black Frame Creative, a boutique studio that provided design and branding services for small/emerging brands and the events industry. Timi also served as an Art Director at Revolve Consumer Products Group/So-Mine from December 2015 to September 2017. In addition, Timi has experience as a Designer at Moxie from September 2013 to September 2015, and as an Art Director at BKV from July 2007 to September 2012. Timi's earlier work experience includes roles such as Senior Graphic Designer at Lewis Hyman, Inc. from April 2006 to July 2007, and Graphic Designer at Catalpha Advertising & Design from November 2004 to April 2006.
Timi Majek has a strong educational background in the field of art and design. They began their education journey in 1997 at Yaba College of Technology in Yaba, Lagos, where they studied Fine/Studio Arts for two years. Following this, Timi pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Advertising and Graphic Design at Columbus College of Art & Design from 2002 to 2004. They then went on to obtain a Master of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design, completing their studies from 2007 to 2009.
In addition to their formal education, Timi Majek also obtained a certification in User Experience Circuit from General Assembly in June 2017. This certification further enhanced their skills and knowledge in the design field.
