Kanika S. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. They started their career as a Software Engineer at Himachal Futuristic Communications Limited, where they designed and developed Java-based SNMP Network Management System and worked on the implementation of the Media Gateway Call Control Application.

They then moved on to work as a Senior Software Engineer at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, where they contributed to the development of an Element Management Application for Alcatel.

After that, Kanika S. joined UTStarcom as a Senior Software Engineer and later worked at Ciena India Pvt. Ltd. as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on analyzing requirements, designing and developing user interfaces, and providing support during testing cycles.

They then transitioned to working as a Senior Java Developer and later as a Tech/Team Lead at Royal Bank of Scotland Business (as a Sapient Consultant), where they re-architected and migrated legacy applications, created a custom Java-based BPM workflow platform, and designed enhancements for the LIMA application.

Kanika S. then became a Technology Architect at AT&T, where they designed and orchestrated the CRU Migration Project for the AT&T Order Processing SOA application.

They subsequently worked as an Application Programmer Expert at Citi, where they played a key role in disintegrating the CBOL application into reusable micro-services and integrating them with various systems.

Finally, Kanika S. joined 1904labs as a Full Stack Cloud Developer and later became a Practice Tech Lead/Architect. In this role, they helped Mastercard create real-time streaming applications, designed and maintained a Spark streaming application, and researched open-source streaming platforms. They also developed a framework for moving existing systems to a more scalable platform and supported processing 60,000 messages per second.

Kanika S. has a diverse education history that spans across various fields of study. Kanika obtained a Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) degree in Computer Science from Guru Jambheshwar University in 2003-2004. Prior to this, they completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science from the same university during 2002-2003. Kanika also holds a Bachelor of Information Sciences (BIS) degree in Computer Software Engineering from Delhi University, which they earned from 1998 to 2002.

In terms of their secondary education, Kanika attended Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Delhi, India, from 1996 to 1998, where they studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, and English Language. Before that, from 1985 to 1996, they attended Somerville School in Delhi, India, where they studied Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, English, and Sanskrit Language.

Additionally, they have completed programming courses in Python and acquired Google Cloud Essentials and Google Cloud OnBoard certifications in 2018.
