Anup Kuruvilla has over 35 years of work experience in the financial services industry. Anup began their career in 1985 as a Director at Citigroup, Mumbai, Chennai, Singapore, and Hong Kong. In 1997, they moved to Chase Manhattan Bank, Jakarta as Head of Structured Trade for Indonesia, Thailand, and Philippines. In 2001, they joined RBS/ABN Amro as Managing Director, Syndications. In 2015, they co-founded 1Crowd, a venture capital fund focused on connecting investors with promising Indian start-ups and early stage ventures. Since 2017, they have been (Hony) Treasurer and Trustee of the Cheshire Disability Trust, whose mission is to enable PWD's to improve their quality of life and to campaign for the removal of barriers which hinder them. Anup also serves as (Hony) Secy & Treasurer and Executive Committee Member of the Cheshire Homes India National Council, which is the coordinating body of the Leonard Cheshire Disability (LCD) Global Alliance in India.

Anup Kuruvilla completed their B.Com from Loyola College, Chennai in 1979, followed by an MBA (Fin) from XLRI Jamshedpur in 1981. In 1985, they obtained an ACA from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Anup also attended Loyola School, Jamshedpur. In 2015, they obtained a Coursera Verified Certificate in New Venture Finance: Startup Funding for Entrepreneurs.
