Blaine Helmick

Blaine Helmick has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Blaine currently holds the position of VP of Software at 1EdTech since 2022. Prior to this, Blaine worked at ACT from 2019 to 2022, where they served as the Interim Director of Emerging Technologies and later as the Engineering Team Leader of Emerging Technologies. During this time, Blaine oversaw and managed innovation and business reinvention projects, led multiple independent teams and vendors, and generated significant revenue through the implementation of a content and assessment delivery platform.

Before ACT, Blaine worked at Wiley from 2016 to 2019 as a Senior Manager of Implementation and a Consultant in Marketing Technology. In these roles, they managed a DevOps team, acted as a sales engineer and solutions architect, and led initiatives to transform the marketing technology stack.

Blaine's earlier experience includes working at Florida Virtual School from 2011 to 2016 as a Client Innovations Manager, Technical Services Manager, and Web Development Consultant. During this time, they were involved in the development of education technology tools, managed the delivery of curriculum content, and created interactive courseware.

Blaine also worked at Technomedia Solutions as the Director of Information and Creative Technologies in 2011, at Promo Only as the Chief Technology Officer (formerly Manager of Multimedia Technologies) from 2002 to 2010, at Executrain Orlando as a Technology Instructor from 2000 to 2002, at Veritas as a Web Analyst from 1998 to 2000, at Seagate Software / Arcada Software as a Support Specialist from 1996 to 1998, and at Software Support, Inc. as a Support Technician from 1995 to 1996.

Blaine Helmick has a Master's Degree in Educational/Instructional Media Design from the University of Central Florida. Prior to that, Blaine obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from the same university. In addition to their degrees, Blaine has certifications as a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) and a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance. Blaine received the CSPO® certification in March 2018 and the CSM® certification in June 2011.
