Dr. Char Dennis is a distinguished educational leader, AI strategist, and communications executive with over 25 years of experience in higher education, public relations, and applied research. As founder and CEO of 1KMEG PR, she leads a boutique agency specializing in strategic brand development for high-visibility clients. She also serves as host of My Style Live, a podcast exploring the intersections of leadership, innovation, fashion, and education

Dr. Dennis earned her Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership from Liberty University, where her applied research focused on improving student outcomes through institutional leadership, academic support systems, and mentorship programming. Her dissertation employed Bandura’s Social Learning Theory to offer empirically grounded strategies for addressing disparities in student achievement, academic preparedness, and retention.

An advocate for responsible innovation, Dr. Dennis holds credentials in Artificial Intelligence Foundations, AI Strategy, AI Governance, AI Ethics, Leadership in AI, and Machine Learning. She consults nationally on the ethical integration of AI in education and organizational leadership, with a focus on equity, algorithmic transparency, and strategic deployment. Her work bridges the gap between emerging technologies and human-centered leadership practices, guiding institutions toward data-informed decision-making and inclusive innovation.

Throughout her career, Dr. Dennis has held leadership roles directing student success initiatives, professional development programs, and cross-sector partnerships. She has designed and implemented policies to enhance academic services, conducted research on educational access and wellness integration, and developed frameworks for culturally responsive leadership in both educational and corporate settings.

Dr. Dennis brings a unique intersectional perspective to AI leadership and board governance, drawing from her extensive experience in educational policy, technology ethics, and culturally responsive leadership. She is particularly passionate about ensuring that artificial intelligence is developed and deployed in ways that serve marginalized communities, bridge access gaps, and support inclusive institutional growth. As a thought leader in DEIA-informed AI governance, she advises organizations on how to center human dignity and accountability in tech adoption. Whether serving on nonprofit boards, mentoring doctoral candidates, or consulting with education and corporate leaders, Dr. Dennis consistently advances initiatives that align innovation with equity and impact.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Dennis serves as Board Chair of the Nashville Shakespeare Festival and Director of the Auburn University Alumni Association. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® and Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education. A former Corporate 500 executive and U.S. Army veteran, her leadership reflects a unique blend of civic engagement, strategic vision, and commitment to lifelong learning.
