Ellen Schwartau

Ellen Schwartau is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in various roles within the tech industry. Currently a Senior Software Engineer at 1KOMMA5° since February 2024, Ellen also serves as a podcaster for UNMUTE IT, a German podcast focused on women's experiences in tech. Previously, Ellen worked at Orbit from November 2020 to February 2024, contributing to web and app projects across multiple sectors, and held the role of Founder & Tech Lead at Durchgelesen for a brief period in 2021. Ellen's career began at Joblift, where contributions as a working student evolved into a Senior Software Engineer role by September 2020. Educationally, Ellen holds a Master of Science in Informatik and a Bachelor of Science in Medieninformatik from Fachhochschule Wedel.
