Dan Mellott

Dan Mellott currently serves as the Director of AI Developer Engineering at 1Password, a position held since November 2025. Prior to this, Dan worked as a self-employed AI Strategy & Implementation Consultant and Product Advisor, focusing on designing an Anthropic-sponsored AI specialization course for Coursera. Dan's diverse experience includes roles at Anthropic as the Manager of the API Team, co-founding Left Turn Studios as CTO, and serving in various engineering management positions at Amazon Web Services, Stripe, and Amazon. Dan holds a Master's degree in Computers and Information Technology from the University of Pennsylvania, an Associate's degree in Applied Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance from the Eastman School of Music.
