Roustem Karimov

Founder (Brain & Vision) at 1Password

Roustem Karimov is a software engineer who is currently the founder of Brain & Vision, a company that specializes in password management. Roustem has over fifteen years of experience in the field of software development.

Karimov started their career in 2001 as a Java/J2EE consultant for WorldVision Canada. Roustem then became a lead Java developer for CGI and later Sony. In 2003, they moved to the Ontario Ministry of Finance where they worked as a senior developer for their integrated financial system. After two years at the Ministry, they left to join AC Nielsen Canada as their web application architect.

In 2005, Karimov decided to start their own company, 1Password. 1Password is a password management tool that helps users store and organize their passwords. The company has been successful and has received funding from various investors.

Roustem Karimov has a certification from Sun Microsystems in Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE Platform, as well as a certification from Sun Microsystems in Sun Certified Web Component Developer for J2EE Platform. Roustem also has a certification from Sun Microsystems in Sun Certified Developer for the Java 2 Platform, and is a certified Java Programmer from Sun Microsystems.
