Sukanta Bhattacharyya

Sukanta Bhattacharyya's work experience includes serving as the Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer at 1s1 Energy, Inc since November 2019. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer of Supra Sciences, Inc starting from July 2015. Sukanta also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Designsyn, Inc from June 2009 to December 2019. Before that, they held the role of Chief Technology Officer at Zymera from December 2008 to June 2015. Sukanta's previous experience also includes working as the Director, Reagents & Assays at Molecular Devices/MDS AT from February 2005 to November 2008, and as the Group Leader, Reagents & Applications at Argonaut Technologies from July 1998 to November 2004. Sukanta began their career as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Mississippi in February 1995, where they worked until July 1998.

Sukanta Bhattacharyya has a PhD in Chemistry from the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Jadavpur. After earning their PhD, they pursued further research as an MPI Postdoc Fellow in Organic/Medicinal Chemistry at the Max Planck Institute for Medicinal Research in Heidelberg. Following their postdoctoral fellowship, Bhattacharyya was awarded an AvH Foundation Postdoc Fellowship in Organic Chemistry at the University of Wuerzburg in Wuerzburg.
