Peter Brar

Peter Brar is an experienced credit risk professional currently serving as the VP, Credit Risk Officer for Real Estate at 1st Century Bank since April 2025. With a strong background in commercial real estate and private banking, Peter has consistently prepared insightful credit memorandum applications and underwritten loans up to $60 million. Prior roles include VP, Credit Risk Analyst III at First Citizens Bank, formerly Silicon Valley Bank, and various positions at Citizens Business Bank where responsibilities included underwriting, credit analysis, and team leadership. Peter began the career in financial services as a bank teller at Wells Fargo and holds a BA in Economics from California State University, Northridge, along with an Associate's Degree in Life Sciences from Taft College.
