Senior Producer, Artist & Designer at 1st Playable Productions

Ian S. has a long and varied work experience. Ian began their career in 2003 as an Artist Intern at Profound Games, where they created all graphics for an unreleased prototype of a casual web based game. In 2004, they worked as an Artist Contracter at Digital Thermite Games, creating Cell Phone Game Art, Website Design, Graphic Design, Level Design, and QA Testing. Ian also became a Volunteer for the IGDA Albany Chapter, and in 2005 they became the Coordinator and then Lead Coordinator for the organization. Also in 2005, they began working at 1st Playable Productions as a Producer & Artist. In 2016, they became Co-Founder of LyraVR, Inc. and also began freelancing as a Digital Artist, creating games and VR experiences in Unity and Unreal. Projects included GRX-Arts-Beats-and-Tech-App, Boba Pop, Battle of Gods & Men, The Aquatic Messenger, and World of Plankton.

Ian S. attended The Putney School from 1996 to 2000, where they completed their high school education. Ian then went on to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media, Arts & Communication (EMAC) between 2000 and 2004. In 2014, they attended the Mandarin Training Center at National Taiwan Normal University for a 3 Month Program in Chinese.
