Tobi Saulnier

Founder & CEO at 1st Playable Productions

Tobi Saulnier is the CEO and founder of 1st Playable Productions, a game development studio based in Troy, New York. Tobi has over 20 years of experience in the game industry, having previously served as VP of product development at Vicarious Visions and as manager of embedded and distributed systems at GE Research.

Saulnier has also been involved in a number of volunteer and not-for-profit organizations. Tobi served as a board member and treasurer for the Emma Willard School from 2011 to 2015, and for miSci (formerly Schenectady Museum & Suits-Bueche Planetarium) from 2009 to 2018. Tobi was also a member of the Women's President's Organization from 2011 to 2016, and served as chair, treasurer, and board member for the International Game Developers Association from 2007 to 2012.

Tobi Saulnier has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. They also have an MS and BS in Electrical Engineering from the same school.
