Dennis V. O’leary

Chief Lending Officer at 1st Security Bank

Dennis joined the 1st Security team as a Senior Vice President and manager of the newly formed construction lending division. His responsibilities currently include overseeing loan production for the commercial, consumer, and commercial real estate including residential construction departments. He brings over 30 years of experience in the banking industry and over 15-20 years of experience in commercial lending. He previously served for five years as Senior Vice President and Puget Sound Regional Director of the residential construction lending division for Sterling Savings Bank (following Sterling Savings Bank’s purchase of Golf Savings Bank).

Mr. O’Leary was also a 20-year employee for Golf Savings Bank that culminated as Executive Vice President of the residential construction department and a five-year member of the Board of Directors for that Bank. Mr. O’Leary holds a BA in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Economics from Central Washington University. He resides in Edmonds with his wife and two children and is active in his church.
