Mike Siepert

FA-18 Foreign Disclosure Analyst at 2 Circle Consulting

Mike Siepert has a diverse range of work experience in the aviation and military sectors. Mike started their career in 1996 as a Fleet pilot at Strike Fighter Squadron ONE FOUR SIX (VFA-146), where they gained experience in both operations and maintenance shop roles. In 2000, they became an Operational Test Director at Air Test and Evaluation Squadron NINE (VX-9), where they played a key role in conducting tests on the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS) and successfully incorporated air-to-surface tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP). From 2002 to 2004, they served as a Department Head at Strike Fighter Squadron ONE FOUR SIX (VFA-146), ensuring safe operations and achieving the Wing Safety Award. Mike then joined Joint Special Operations Command in 2004, where they developed and tested equipment and tactics for special forces, integrating Special Operations Forces (SOF) training and education into Navy air wing pre-deployment syllabi. Continuing their work with special operations, Mike worked at the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center from 2007 to 2011, serving as a CAS/SOF Coordinator, Air Wing Instructor, and Adversary Pilot, making him a recognized subject matter expert on Special Operations Forces (SOF) and Close Air Support (CAS). Mike then became an Installation Executive Officer at Navy Region Southeast from 2011 to 2013, overseeing the daily operations of a large military installation. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at U.S. Special Operations Command as an Aviation Special Projects, Program AOIC, System and Weapons Instructor, and Tactical Aviator. Mike'stasks included serving on the Joint Staff, U.S. Central Command, and U.S. Naval forces. In 2016, they joined Joint Special Operations Command again, this time as an Exercise Planner, where they studied tactics, techniques, and procedures used by ground and air forces with a focus on Special Operations. Most recently, they worked as a Contract Pilot, CAS SME, and military training and tactics contractor in the North Carolina area from 2017 to 2023. Mike is currently employed as an FA-18 Foreign Disclosure Analyst at 2 Circle, Inc. (starting in 2023).

Mike Siepert earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Oceanography from the United States Naval Academy, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. In 2006, they completed a Joint Professional Military Education program at the USAF Air Command and Staff College. No specific field of study was provided for the latter program.
