Robert "Fitz" Gentry began their career in 1994 as an Intercollegiate Sailing Team Assistant Coach at the United States Naval Academy. In 1995, they joined the US Navy as a Squadron Department Head and Junior Officer. In 2006, they became a Strike Fighter Placement Officer - Human Resources Professional at the Bureau of Naval Personnel. In 2011, they were promoted to Commanding Officer of Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO THREE (VFA-103). In 2013, they accepted the role of Executive Assistant at Commander, Naval Air Forces, Atlantic. In 2014, they became an EUCOM Desk Officer, Assistant Division Chief at The Joint Staff. In 2018, they were appointed as Air Wing Commander (CAG) at Carrier Air Wing ONE (CVW-1). In 2020, they were promoted to Director Of Special Projects at Commander, Naval Air Forces, Atlantic. Finally, in 2021, they accepted the role of Director, System Studies and Analysis and Senior Consultant at 2 Circle Consulting, Inc.
Robert "Fitz" Gentry is currently an Executive MBA Candidate at the University of Notre Dame. Prior to this, they obtained a Graduate Diploma of Strategy in Defense Studies from the Australian Defence College in 2010, where they studied Military Joint Operations Planning and Strategy, COIN. Robert "Fitz" also earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Robert "Fitz"'story from the United States Naval Academy between 1990 and 1994. In addition to their formal education, Gentry holds several certifications, including Cert Prep: PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) from LinkedIn, Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from DRI International (Disaster Recovery Institute), Strategic Planning Foundations from LinkedIn, and a Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance (TS /SCI) from the United States Department of Defense.
