Andres Valencia has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Andres is currently serving as the Vice President of ETP and Trading Operations at 21Shares since June 2021. Prior to this, they held multiple roles at J.P. Morgan, starting as an Exchange Traded Funds Operations Analyst from January 2015 to February 2017. Andres then worked as an Analyst in the Beta Strategies Middle Office from February 2017 to January 2018. Subsequently, they were promoted to an Associate in the same department, where they served from January 2018 to February 2020. Finally, they held the position of Vice President at J.P. Morgan from February 2020 to June 2021. Before joining J.P. Morgan, Andres worked as an Exchange Traded Funds Analyst at BNY Mellon from February 2013 to January 2015.
Andres Valencia has a diverse education history. Andres began their academic journey by obtaining an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Queensborough Community College of The City University of New York (CUNY) between 2007 and 2009. Andres then pursued a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree in Finance and Investments at Baruch College, graduating in 2012. Continuing their education, Andres completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance and Financial Management Services at Baruch College from 2014 to 2017.
In addition to their formal degrees, Andres has also obtained various certifications. Andres is an Alteryx Designer Core Certified professional, having received this certification from Alteryx in May 2021. Moreover, they have achieved the designation of 2018 Level II CFA Candidate from the CFA Institute and has successfully passed Level I of the CFA exams.
