Steven Peyton

Steven Peyton is a chemist with extensive experience in analytical and forensic chemistry. Currently employed at 22nd Century Group, Inc. since September 2022, Steven previously worked as a chemist at the FDA from December 2020 to October 2023, and as a physical scientist specializing in forensic chemistry at the Forensic Drug Testing Laboratory from February 2019 to December 2020. With prior roles as a primary analytical chemist at Diversified Laboratories and research technician at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Steven has developed and validated analytical methods, focused on drug detection, and maintained compliance with rigorous technical and forensic regulations. Steven holds a master's degree and a bachelor's degree in chemistry from George Mason University and an associate's degree from Rappahannock Community College.
