Peter Bickerton

Peter Bickerton has over 25 years of work experience in financial accounting and taxation. Peter is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at 26 Degrees since February 2019. Prior to this, they worked at TAL Australia as the Head of Financial Accounting from July 2018 to February 2019. In this role, they led a team of 10 accounting professionals and was responsible for financial control, investment unit pricing, and external audit management. Before that, Peter worked at AMP for 12 years, starting as a Senior Manager and eventually leading a team of 30 accounting and tax professionals. Peter oversaw general ledger accounting, financial reporting, audit relationships, and tax compliance for corporate entities. Peter also held senior positions at Commonwealth Bank and State Street, focusing on taxation management. Peter began their career as a Chartered Accountant at BDO.

Peter Bickerton holds a Master's degree in Taxation Law from the University of Technology Sydney, which they obtained between 2001 and 2002. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce, General at the same university from 1991 to 1994. Peter also has additional certifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Taxation Institute of Australia.
